This is K-Lo, my other little
girl, and yes, that is real blood. The camera was at the
ready even as she was finishing her entry into the world.
All credit to Beck, who has my total respect for delivering
this little girl, through no choice of her own, without the
aid of pain relief or any sort of doctor, unlike the full-on
emergency medical intervention that heralded Josie's birth.
To say I was proud of her would be to understate the matter
entirely. Katie is now three weeks old, and doing pretty
well. She seems to be settling in, and her big sister has
taken to her straight away, despite her comment on their
first meeting: "Hello baby sister, you can't play with any
of my toys". So, the sleepless night are back, and I get the
feeling that two is enough, but who knows? |
