Since I started adding videos,
a few people have brought some extra stuff to my attention. A chap called
Chunky on the New Model Army forum has been uploading stuff to YouTube on a
regular basis, and added this whole gig , which was filmed at the Town and
Country in Kentish Town way back on the 27th of September 1987. We were
recently returned from the US, where we'd got these lovely new jackets. Mine
got me into a face-off with the US Marine Corps, but that's another story.
The T&C show was the final UK date of the bunch, before departing for
continental Europe and a series of hellish drives. At least we missed the
hurricane, feeling only a heavy wind as we drove through northern france.
When we arrived back from Spain, and viewed the devastation between Dover
and Brighton, we knew it'd been big. I think this constitutes a part of the
White Coats tour, as it'd been released in the UK at the beginning of the
month. It's not a bad set list for the time, and we did twenty-one songs, so
you got your money's worth with us. The camera used here goes out of focus a
lot, and there are some odd bits where the VHS transfer has gone a bit
strange, but overall it's a good watch, if I do say so myself. There are a
few more gigs which follow. |
